The developer Madfinger Games have come up with this Gears of War style game for the iPhone, Touch and Pad, it’s a Third-person sci-fi thriller set in 2350.
You are John Slade and the mission is to defeat hundreds of genetically modified monsters while infiltrating a crazy scientist’s laboratory.
The controls and gameplay are similar to the Shadow Guardian game from Gameloft. One half of the screen controls your view and the other is for movement.

There’s a fire button which can be held down and dragged, with one for weapon switching and another for reloading.

Shadowgun runs very smoothly and you get a sense of a quality compared with the previously mentioned Shadow Guardian game. Most of the fighting takes place behind strategically placed wall’s which all seem to be chest height.

The soundtrack is a guitar concoction which can become a little tedious after you have heard it loop 70 times. The voice overs are great especially cool is John Slade’s AI named Sara.

The graphics in Shadowgun are very high quality with amazing scene textures and perfect animation. However there’s no great diversity in the game you spend most of your time in the mad scientists facility, coming under attack from the hordes of slime tanks which seem to be the scientists greatest passion.

The Boss battles are well thought out and extremely engaging, there is a myriad of adversaries, some are even capable of teleporting which is crazy annoying.

Well the big question is hardness and it’s not that difficult, I think most should be able to complete within three to four hours on the normal difficulty setting.
